Phoenixville's Historic District
There are many nice places to eat and stay in the Phoenixville Area Shops open late with a festive atmosphere on the First Friday of each month.
At Main and Bridge is a great wall mural. On Bridge Street is the Colonial Theatre where scenes from the movie “THE BLOB” with Steve McQueen were made (1958). The theatre has been beautifully restored and now shows art and special movies. The original Foundry Building on Main Street has been restored and soon will have restaurants. In the Summer, a weekend Farmer’s Market is at the entrance.
