Certified Appraisals
Chi Chi Castenova and Willard McKay are both Certified Appraisers. They are members of the Pennsylvania Antiques Appraisers Association, of which Willard is currently vice president.

We can provide you with Certified Appraisals for estate, income tax, divorce, insurance, gift and other purposes. Other associates are available to work with us in their speciatlies. These include Native American, military, autos, etc.
We particularly like to work with families to see that personal property is fairly divided among children or other heirs. We are also glad to work jointly with divorcing couples so that things may be divided fairly without contention. References including attorneys and museums are available.
We can provide Online Estimates from photos sent for reasonable fee, but these are not as accurate as in person appraisals. Please do not include attachments until we request them. We do not open them if not expected.
We do Appraisal Days for fee and on occasion without charge for local non-profit organizations. Our code of ethics prohibits us from appraising anything in which we have an interest. We do not buy items we have appraised for at least two years. There is an inherent conflict of interest to appraise something and then to buy it. Beware of such “free appraisals” from those who would buy what they appraise.
If you wish to sell to us, feel free to get an idea elsewhere of value or we will make offers. Obviously we intend to sell for more than we pay. Neither Willard McKay nor Chi Chi Castenova has ever been sued or charged with any fiduciary misdeed.
